Food grade mineral fertilizer 20% potassium, Bionova K 20. Plants have a high demand for potassium during the maturation phase. Potassium plays an important role in the osmoses regulation, in the opening and closing of the stomata’s, the protein synthesis and the functioning of enzymes. Which results in a higher quality fruit/flowers, improved firmness and dry-weight content. Plants directly absorb all food grade minerals inside the Bionova K 20 which gives you optimal control of your plants.

What is BioNova K 20?

Besides the basic elements N and P, also Bionova K 20 (Potassium) is crucial for every cultivation. Potassium makes cells more sturdy (water household), and prompts the blooming. Potassium also plays an important role in the forming of cells. the osmoses regulation and the carbohydrate household. Furthermore. potassium is important for the opening and closing of the stomata. which enable the drainage of excessive heat.
A deficiency of potassium manifests itself when the plant does not open the stomata sufficiently for vaporization in order to cool down. This results into the development of chlorosis at the rims of the leaves which develops into necrosis (death) in a later stage. In case of an excess of potassium the plant will be curbed in its development and subsequently turn dark. An excess also hampers the absorption of other cations (Ca and Mg) which is caused by antagonistic effects.

Tips from Bionova growers

✔  If the plants look weak, the leaves turn yellow starting from the outer part and the vegetal tissues looks to be soft due to potassium (K) deficiency, only apply component K 20 to the cultivation, both by root or leaf, to quickly recover plants from nutritional shortage.
✔  When growing in humid environments double the dosage of K 20, to strengthen plant tissues. also an increase of Ca 15 (Calcium) too.
✔  Use Bionova K 20 to promote and increase the synthesis of sugars in fruits, which result in a better taste, aromas and intenser colours.
✔  Bionova K 20 prolongs the end product’s shelf life.
✔  To prepare a personalized feeding schedule: use Bionova K 20 mono-nutrient, you can exactly decide the amount of potassium you are giving to your crop.
✔  Use Bionova K 20 to strenghtnen sprout tissues on mother plants just before cutting clones to prepare for healthier rooting.

✔  Can be used for outdoor growing. After checking the soil and (irrigation) water, Bionova mono nutrients adjusts the nutrition elements to guarantee enough available nutrients.
